35-Hour Restorative Yoga Training


This training is open to yoga practitioners wanting to deepen their personal knowledge and home practice, teachers seeking to further develop and upgrade their skills, body workers, therapists, and health professionals interested in body-mind medicine.

This comprehensive training will include theory and experiential learning to cover the following:

  • Learn key restorative postures: backbends, forward bends, side bends, twists, inversions
  • How to set up restorative postures using props, and how to set up with limited use of props
  • Benefits of restorative yoga and how to activate the relaxation response
  • Physiology and philosophy of restorative yoga • Sequencing restoratives for therapeutic applications
  • Supporting anxiety and depression through restorative yoga
  • Learn how to theme classes via the subtle (energetic) body: The Chakra System & Traditional Chinese Medicine – meridian system plus seasonal practices as it applies to restorative yoga

Curriculum Hours

  • 30 training hours
  • 4 (75 minute) restorative classes attended between training intensives
  • 1 hour for homework assignment
